Steve Boon
Chief Operations Officer
Steve hails from Philadelphia, but acknowledges Texas as home for the past 20 years. His interest in the chemical dependency field began in 1994 as he pursued his counseling degree, but soon into the coursework, he realized his real calling toward the business side of the treatment industry. He quickly learned the financial side of the daily operations, from insurance contract negotiations, billing, collections, pre-certification, to accounts payable and receivables and has worked in this arena for the past 14 years.
When asked about his mission for EAI, Steve responded, “I want to create a space for men to recover from the devastation of alcohol and drug abuse and to return to a life filled with joy, love and success.”
Steve has a personal connection with EAI in that he is a proud alumnus. During his time at EAI and afterwards, Steve was an integral participant in the Sober Recreation Committee, and served as chairman of the SRC Softball League. When given the opportunity to become one of the business owners, the decision was an easy one. Today, Steve is the Chief Operations Officer and is responsible for all AP and AR duties, as well as Contracting and Facility Operations.
Steve is happily married to the love of his life, Julie, and together they enjoy hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. Steve gives of himself to support men in recovery, and is an active member of the ManKind Project Houston/New Warrior program.
