Terry Smith, BS, LCDC
Business Development and Counselor
A 1989 graduate of Houston Baptist University, with a degree in Economics and Finance, and a 1997 graduate of the LCDC School in Houston, Terry has 13 years of experience in the field of substance abuse counseling. Terry joined the Extended Aftercare family in October 2008 as part of the clinical staff and member of the Business Development team.
For the past 10 years Terry has worked in the field of substance abuse counseling, working with adolescents. His experience includes 4 years with Adolescents in Recovery (AIR) in Katy Texas, a teen recovery group. Terry also formed Houston Area Recovering Teens (HART), a non-profit alternative peer group in Houston, dedicated to helping adolescents and their families recover from substance abuse and its effects.
Terry is a member in good standing of The Texas Association of Addiction Professionals, and is an active member of the ManKind Project Houston/New Warrior program. He keeps himself busy in his spare time by hunting, playing tennis, golfing and raising his two daughters Shannon and Jennifer.
